The purpose of this forum is to ensure you know who you are speaking to. No LARPs, no unserious people. Only people with a vested interest in the $WLFI ecosystem. It is very simple - you prove you control a wallet, and as a result, you receive recognition.

How does wallet verification work?

First, register for an account. Second, please click on your icon at the top-right of the site and go to account settings.

Select the network, select the asset you wish to use to verify, and copy-paste your own wallet address, and press Start Verification. The site will ask you to send yourself the selected asset, and from there, you must send yourself the exact amount shown, from: the wallet address you provided, to: the wallet address you provided.

Once you send the exact amount - the site will eventually recognize that you have sent the amount and automatically provide you with access, and allow you to post on the forum if you hold the required amount of $WLFI currently set to gain access (currently 2,000 $WLFI).

Do not spam the 'check now' button - there is a rate limit and it will go through automatically if you just wait. Give it 5 minutes before clicking the button again.

Will I be required to sign any signature?

No. You will never be asked to sign a message when verifying your wallet.

Will I ever be required to send anyone assets?

No. You will only be asked to send yourself assets, to your own address. If you ever see any issues with the site where it is asking you to send assets to another address, please let @Vinman know immediately.

Why did my verification not work?

Recall - you are proving ownership that you have control of an address that holds $WLFI. This means that, you must use the same address to send yourself the asset you selected. If you try again and it still doesn't work, ensure you sent the proper amount of the asset to yourself. If it still doesn't work, let @Vinman know.

How is my data stored?

We use Alchemy to check the blockchain when you perform a transaction. We store your addresses purely for the purposes of showing how much $WLFI you own, and performing automated updates on a set schedule. You are able to manually refresh a wallet's balance as often as you want - but you are rate limited.

Your address/wallet information is encrypted at rest - even if a database is compromised, your wallet addresses will never be exposed. As long as the server is not compromised, your data never be at risk. We plan on adding an option to opt-out out of automated refreshes, but this is necessary, at the moment, to ensure that holders cannot pretend they own the assets that they claim to have.

Is this safe?

We believe so. You're asked to send yourself <$0.01 of assets, from a wallet you control, to the same wallet. You've already performed on-chain signatures by purchasing $WLFI, therefore, we see minimal risk to this approach, and we believe it's much safer than alternative approaches, such as signing a message, providing wallet permissions, or other methods.
